🌼 Brilliant — you’ve started preparing your mini meadow!
Thank you for starting to prepare your patch or pot for sowing. This first step makes a real difference and helps give your wildflowers the best chance to establish and flourish 🌱
If you’re planting in the ground, remember:
-Remove weeds and grass so soil is visible
-Wait 2–4 weeks
-Then remove any new weeds that appear before sowing
Once your patch or pot is ready, your next step will be sowing the seeds.
A few simple sowing tips for when you’re ready:
-Scatter seeds evenly on the soil surface
-Press them in gently using your hands or by walking lightly over the area
-Do not cover the seeds with soil
-If planting in the ground, loosen compacted soil first with a rake
-Water gently on the first day if no rain is expected (especially pots)
You can sow anytime from September until the end of October.
