Eco Show and Tell is proud to facilitate a new community group aiming to raise awareness to waste prevention. Through community events, and the sharing of written content, our group is encouraging our neighbours to reduce hyper-consumption, minimise items being thrown away, and increase the use of the circular economy.

Monthly spotlight
We have set an annual agenda for 2025, and every month our group will highlight one or two categories of waste-prevention. January: we highlighted waste created from foods & drinks packaging, carrying and storage here. February+ March: we highlighted food waste here. April + May: we highlighted fast fashion and apparel waste here. In June we highlighted waste created by home care products, furnishing and decluttering our home, here. In July and August we focussed on waste created by families. In September we discussed waste created by personal care. October, was dedicated to electronic waste.
In November and December we highlight waste created from festivals and celebrations. Read here.

Zero Waste Community Leadership training
We have facilitated three rounds of training in Barnet, in which we shared a variety of ways to engage our local community with waste-reduction initiatives and content. Thank you North London Waste Authority for funding this training through the North London Community Fund.
